With Lingers in Girlan, ROOM2 has created a place of tranquility, lightness, and tasteful understatement. This family-run boutique hotel is nestled in the vineyards above Bolzano – a place where time slows down and the view stretches far and wide.
The design team at ROOM2 found inspiration in the unique atmosphere of the surrounding manor houses and vineyards, as well as the rural idyll around Girlan. Soft colors, elegant lines, great attention to detail, and high-quality materials make the Lingers suites and apartments a stylish retreat with refined interiors. All in vogue, nothing off the shelf.
ROOM2 guided the project from conceptual development to final furnishing.
The goal: to create spaces that make an impact — without being loud. ROOM2 focused on natural materials, clean lines, and a restrained color palette that engages in a dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Oak wood, linen fabrics, and warm stone surfaces shape the atmosphere and reflect the authenticity of the house.
The interiors were meant to be not just beautiful, but above all, tangible. Open, inviting, and honest. Every detail — from custom-made furniture to the lighting ambiance — was thoughtfully chosen to create a harmonious whole. The architecture of the house allowed for a design that consciously takes a step back, giving priority to the guests.
The extensive renovation, including 16 suites and apartments, was successfully completed in a very short time, allowing Lingers to reopen just in time for the start of the season. ROOM2 managed all phases of planning and execution — from conceptual development and design to material selection, lighting planning, and on-site construction management.
