Slowing down on Lake Garda

A small dwelling was designed in modern Italian style to permit summers on Lake Garda to be enjoyed to the full. The emphasis was on relaxation, switching off and pleasure. The living area was designed to encourage socialising with family and friends; the garden functions as a central space with a range of options for cooking, eating, relaxing and having fun.

Contemporary materials and simple forms were chosen for the interior design. The harmonious interplay of the natural colours and nuances of Lake Garda, in particular its shades of blue and green, is reflected throughout the interior. An ingenious lighting concept also contributes to the relaxed ambience.

ROOM2 was responsible for the conceptual development, interior design, materials definition, lighting concept, implementation planning and construction supervision.
